Ok, you've found and ordered that cool t-shirt from T Shirt Town. You've waited eagerly for the post man to deliver it. You've worn it down the pub and showed it off to all your mates. But now you've got to wash it - so what do you do? At T Shirt town we want your cool tee to last as long as possible so please follow these guidelines.
100% Cotton t-shirts, though usually pre-shrunk, will still shrink a small amount, especially if washed and dried at hot temperatures. So to make it last and not to fade or shrink too much you need to wash it at a cooler temparature, no more than 40 degrees. Also it's worth turning the t-shirt inside out to protect that cool design.
Don't be tempted to tumble dry it will make it look aged a lot more quickly than if you just hang dry it. That's what we do and recommend. Plus its more eco friendly to let your tee flap in the wind on your washing line than use a tumble drier!
When it comes to ironing your t-shirt make sure it is inside out. NEVER, EVER, iron directly on the print as a hot iron means the vinyl or transfer will melt and run into the fabric of the tee, both ruining the design and the t-shirt. The last thing you want to do is wreck that cool tee you've just bought. So set your iron to a low or medium setting and your tee will be.
