Junk Food founders, Natalie Grof and Blaine Halvorson, have always had a love of fashion and an entrepreneurial spirit. The trend setting company, launched in 1998, is a success story that was made by two individuals who came together with a vision and passion for what they love to do.

In 1998, the pair crated “Junk Food”. The idea was to create a line of retro/soft vintage t –shirts, incorporating pop culture and nostalgic retro brands like Candyland, Twister and My Little Pony. In the early days they watched every shirt get printed, perfecting the process. The goal was to create a shirt that evoked a vintage softness and fade that one may ‘re-discover’ in their closet from years ago. With Blaine’s contemporary artistic interpretation of the licensed properties, and Natalie’s oversight of the body of each t shirt style and colour choices, along with the day-to-day operational responsibilities, the two worked day and night out of an apartment for the perfect t shirt.
